Green Chile Spice Mix

Green Chile is a staple stew in Colorado made with delicious Pueblo Green Chile and your choice of meat or veg.

The blend is all you need to bring your chile alive. It's a complete blend of organic herbs and spices, that will bring satisfying savory flavor to your pot. It's the spice mix you've been missing in your green chile stew.

Ingredients: a blend of organic spices and toasted golden flour for thickening your stew. Organic, non-preservative and non-GMO, Kosher

Green Chile Stew Recipe:

2    tbsp. olive oil
2.5 lbs cubed pork steak, loin, or chops (bone-in), or your prefered protein.
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1 med. diced onion
1 clove of minced garlic
1-14 oz. can of crushed tomato
8 cups vegetable or chicken stock.
1 packet of Green Chili Spice Mix
1 lb chopped Pueblo Green Chile
4 med. golden potatoes, cubed

  1. In a large stock pot, coat raw meat with 1 tsp. salt and pepper. add 2 tbsp olive oil and brown meat on medium to high heat. Once all meat is brown, add onion, potatoes, and garlic, and cook onions until tender.

  2. Add spice mix to coat meat and vegetables.

  3. Add tomato and stock. Stir to combine all ingredients. No lumps.

  4. Add Green chili and potatoes

  5. Once the mixture begins to bubble, turn the heat down to med-low. Allow to simmer and thicken. Approx. 2 - 4 hours. stirring frequently.

  6. Add additional salt and pepper to taste.
